Escape Academy 2 Demo: Ticket Code, Content & Saves

At a glance

The free Steam demo contains the first chapter and supports solo or two-player co-op. In the October demo, the Escape Academy tram ticket uses code 9625 and costs $3. The update also removed the end-of-demo save wipe.

The Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School demo is free on Steam. Open the demo’s Steam listing and install it through the Steam client. It has its own app listing, separate from the full game.

The demo supports solo play, local splitscreen and online co-op. You can try the opening chapter with a friend before buying the full game.

Tram ticket: code 9625, fare $3

In the October demo, the destination code for Escape Academy is 9625. A tram ticket costs $3, paid with three Escape Bucks. The working ticket kiosk displays the destination-code field and the $3 fare. Using the code with the required cash produces a Tram Ticket and spends the three bucks.

The code appears on the station’s destination board. This is the ticket purchase within the station opening; getting a ticket is followed by a separate platform puzzle before boarding.

What is included?

The English Steam listing describes the complete first chapter:

  • The tram-station opening and journey to the Academy.
  • An introductory escape room about the school’s history.
  • Campus exploration and Extra Credit side quests.
  • A Clocktower escape with Professor Solange.
  • A quest-tracking system to follow your next objective.

Does the demo save carry over?

The October demo update removed the save wipe at the end of the demo. The developer expected its saves to work with the full release, but did not guarantee compatibility. Successful transfer into the full game has not been confirmed.

The older May demo had different rules: finishing it wiped the save, and its saves were not intended to transfer. Players returning from that version were told to replay roughly the opening hour in the updated demo.

Character creation and difficulty

Play Solo opens character creation, followed by the game-mode choice. Casual gives escape rooms unlimited time and no letter grade. Classic uses timers, and taking hints lowers the grade score. The mode screen says the choice can be changed from the pause menu.

See character creation for the appearance fields and co-op and crossplay for multiplayer options.
